1. Define Value from the Customer Perspective

The first step is identifying what the customer is actually willing to pay for. Anything that does not add direct value to the end product or service is considered "Muda" (waste).

• Action: Conduct interviews or surveys to define the "Critical to Quality" (CTQ) requirements.
